What's the name of the site all about?
It's an old nickname. And the source's not that compilcated: my surname, combined with my rather conspicuous liking of Brazilian football. Blame lies on Kari for thinking it up.
Why is this in english?
Why not?
Figured it'd be good to be able to use a non-native language in more free expression than work allows.
Even though finnish is a wonderfully malleable language, I like to play with english as well.
And hey, it allows for a broader audience as well.
So it's a vanity site, right?
Pretty much yes. Though there is some occasional decent content available as well.
This does not look like blogger or wordpad... What are you using for blog's content management?
It's homebrew. Next.
I mean, wouldn't it be better to use something that's ready?
No.
I like fiddling with it. Old school. emacs rules.
#include other
excuses here.
I mean, really, the blog's inconsistencies offend my eye, and I want to comment things said there!
Maybe. I'll just have to figure out whether this is for the long haul or not. The web's full of abandoned blogs.
The blog entries' titles... Is there a grand scheme behind them?
You really think so? Got this bridge... Available at a very reasonable price. Just sign here.
Where's the layout taken from?
glish. Tweaked and tuned. Probably mangled as well. Seems to be working ok, so far.
How well does the layout support mobile phones?
Not very. Ought to expand (or actually contract) into that direction next.
Where's the server?
Dunno. Bought the service from Louhi Solutions, and the actual location is not really interesting. Availability and bandwidth of the pages are.
No juicy rumors from the inner circles of Nokia? Gimme some!
Nope. Dangerous precedents exist for getting into trouble for work-related entries.
We want pix! We want music!
Pictures are forthcoming, sounds aren't.
So. You like Don Rosa, huh?
He's okay. Best Disney-artist there is today.
Just needed an excuse to play with XSLT, and Barks' output is way too vast.
Hey! I'm gonna link to something. That OK?
Sure. And I'll try an make sure the URI don't change. At least without good reason.
